Homemade Afternoon Tea Party

Enjoyed a Saturday afternoon tea party with my small group at the beginning of December! We brewed a variety of hot teas, including jasmine, black lavender, and earl grey. Together, the eight of us brought treats to share – tea sandwiches, blueberry muffins, pound cake with strawberries, madeleines, palmiers, white chocolate drops, jam cookies, caramel wafers, almond cookies, tim tam cookies, and gluten free biscotti. They were all so delicious! Through the afternoon, we drank tea, ate, chatted, and played a hilarious game of Telephone Pictionary. Lessons learned: I have poor, or lack of, drawing skills haha and apparently a woodchuck in “How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” is a groundhog. Some of us thought it was a bird haha! Anyway, it was an afternoon spent in good company, and I got to know my small group a little bit better outside of seeing them at the usual Thursday Midweek and Sunday Service. Enjoy the photos from our afternoon tea party!Palmiers and White Chocolate Drops

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” –Hebrews 10:24-25
