Dad’s Old Client

While visiting Dad at the cemetery, Mom and I bumped into his old client, Rose. She loyally returned to my dad year after year to have him do her tax returns for 10+ years. She was there to visit a friend who passed away in 2006 after an 8-year battle against cancer. A while ago, she realized that her accountant was buried near her friend, so ever since then, she has said hi to my dad every time she visits the cemetery. She shared about how nice of a man my dad was and how brave and strong he fought through cancer those 3 years without showing illness or weakness to his clients. She praised Mom for being a hero, but we shared about God’s grace and agreed that heaven is a much better place with no more suffering. I like hearing stories about my dad, and I want to write them down so that I can remember them.
