Yesterday, I spent the day out in SF, Sausalito, Berkeley, and Oakland with my mom and visiting aunt and uncle from Sydney for a belated celebration of my mom’s birthday and also sightseeing with our visitors! Weather in SF was perfect again even though the morning started foggy in the South Bay. This time I tried to switch it up from the usual tourist spots that we have taken previous visitors so many times (Ferry Building, Union Square, Twin Peaks, Lombard Street, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Palace of Fine Arts, and Golden Gate Bridge). SF has so much more to offer, and it was time for us to see the scenic view from the other side of the bridge. Plus I made dinner reservations in Oakland, so we decided to make a day trip out of it!

Zazie in Cole Valley was too busy, so we walked over to The Haight to find brunch there.

ordered – Cali omelette, crab cake benedict, stuffed french toast. The portions were so big!

This was conveniently near brunch, so we took a quick photo stop for the panoramic view.
We took a car tour through Presidio Park on the way to Golden Gate Bridge and quick photo stops at the Palace of Fine Arts and last SF exit before going over the bridge to Sausalito.

Tunnel to the lighthouse is only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays at 12:30-3:30 PM.

We took a car tour through Sausalito, across the Richmond-San Rafael bridge, to Berkeley Marina, around UC Berkeley, and down College Avenue on our way to dinner.

ordered – Prince Edward island mussels, seafood stew, rack of lamb, 2 prix fixe 3-course meals with ceasar salad, mesquite salmon, and choice of dessert, creme brûlée, german chocolate soufflé. Extra order of mussels and panna cotta were on the house! Amazing service here!
